A post thumbnail image is the photo that shows up next to your article summary on the home page, as well as on internal searches.

Adding a thumbnail image next to your blog post’s summary is an important step to ensure you readers click through to the rest of the content.

The following steps take place once you’re in the post editor screen:

Step 1: Right column under “Featured Image”
Step 2: Click “Set Featured Image”
Step 3: Choose photo from URL, Gallery or Computer
Step 4: Click “Use as featured image”
Step 5: Click “Save all changes”

This theme will set automatically crop the image so that it fits next to your post summary on the home page.

If you don’t like the way it looks, you can easily edit the image or add a new one.
