About Our Mortgage Video And Blogging Community

Updated 5/15/2011:

Mortgage Daily TV was formerly MyFHAmortgageblog.com (My FHA Mortgage Blog, and My FHA Blog), which was designed specifically to educate homebuyers about the Federal Housing Administration, FHA Mortgages and the different types FHA home loan programs.

However, we have chosen to use a new URL web address that did not include the acronym “FHA” or any other Government Loan Program reference in light of a recent FHA Mortgagee Letter that clearly states;

Under §§ 202 and 536 of the National Housing Act (NHA), HUD may impose
sanctions, including civil money penalties, for misuse of the terms “Federal
Housing Administration,” “Department of Housing and Urban Development,”
“Government National Mortgage Association,” “Ginnie Mae,” the acronyms
“HUD,” “FHA,” or “GNMA,” or any official seal or logo of the Department
of Housing and Urban Development. The Department has determined that
Devices using the HUD and the FHA seals, logos, and acronyms are present
in the entire range of electronic and print media utilized by FHA-approved
mortgagees, including but not limited to websites, website addresses, business
names, aliases, Doing Business As (d/b/a) names, domain names, email
addresses, direct mail advertisements, solicitations, promotional materials and
correspondence.

About Mortgage Daily TV

Established in 2008 by Las Vegas mortgage professional, Mark Madsen, and WordPress ninja, Dustin Dempsey, MortgageDaily.tv is a nationally recognized mortgage video and blogging community of lending experts who share valuable information about the home loan process.

Mortgage Daily TV focuses on helping lending professionals get more exposure for their mortgage videos and blogging efforts.

Why We Blog:

First-Time Homebuyers are overwhelmed with the noise and opinions about the state of the housing market.

We believe that it is not our job to “sell” homebuyers a loan, but instead, it’s our duty to educate the public on how to make responsible borrowing decisions.

David Stevens, former Federal Housing Administration Commissioner, was quoted in a WSJ article stating that there is a “Trust Deficit” between new homebuyers and the mortgage industry:

The former banker said the industry risked losing some part of a generation of home-buyers—young workers and families that comprise the “echo boom” generation—by “scaring them” with headlines about predatory loans during the boom and improper foreclosures during the bust.

“They’re the future of homeownership. They’re the ones…who have just watched this shock and awe and may be concerned, may be resistant about entering a market, particularly if they don’t trust all the participants,” he said.

There is no better way to get the real truth about local lending programs, updated underwriting guidelines, rate indicators, grant money, or any other financing related question than by tapping the experience and insight of the street-level mortgage loan originator.

By organizing our mortgage articles on one centralized lending blog, our participating authors can focus their valuable time only having to write a couple of excellent posts per month vs having to maintain a daily content schedule required of building a personal blog.

A True Win Win:

Our clients and real estate agents benefit because we’re always able to provide several different points of view on relevant topics that may impact their borrowing decisions.

And, the contributors to MortgageDaily.tv benefit by leveraging our site’s power to reach their target audience in the organic search results online, as well as being part of a trusted and pre-qualified network of ethical mortgage professionals.
