It is not often that we have one of those life changing ‘Aha!” moments.  However, the past week has been one long, string of AHA! moments for me.

I wanted to share this experience with the readers of this blog because it matters.  It matters to me and it SHOULD matter to you.  First let me explain where I went and why.

A few months ago, two of the brightest minds in the Mortgage Industry – Mark Madsen and Mark Green got together and decided that there was enough bad news about bad mortgage companies.  To be sure, there were plenty of bad actors in the mortgage industry – no one is refuting that.  The good news is that most of them have been weeded out of the system so that they aren’t able to prey on borrowers anymore.  The bad news is that there are still some of them left – and the media loves to point that out.

The ‘Two Marks’ wanted to create a positive buzz about the good folks in the mortgage business.  Those that are interested in:

• Helping Borrowers

• Educating Borrowers

• Assisting Borrowers in making responsible financial decisions that meet THEIR goals

To be sure, there are plenty of us out there but if you listen to the media you might not believe it.

The Marks got together, banded a group of volunteers and created “The Mortgage Revolution”.  The goal of this group was to create a non-profit organization that would provide opportunities for the good loan officers to connect, network and learn from each other.  This past week we had our first conference.  Hundreds of loan officers descended upon Atlanta and the end result was a $20,000 donation to 3 charities and a ground swell of excitement from many of the top loan officers in the country.

Now, I’m not saying they are the top loan officers because they make the most money or write the most loans.  I say the top loan officers because they truly care about their borrowers and want to better their knowledge, their business practices and their focus so that they can provide better service to their clients.

• How to educate and disseminate useful information to help borrowers make informed decisions – More knowledge for you = more comfort throughout the loan process!

The good news is that you don’t have to go far to find some of the best and brightest loan officers in the industry.  You are on a site that has many, many of the attendees listed by state.  Simply read some articles, select your state and find yourself a seasoned, educated loan officer dedicated to helping YOU meet YOUR goals.

If you can’t find someone in your state please contact me directly.  I’m pretty sure I’ve met someone in just about every state that I can refer to you.  And I know they’ll do a great job.

There are GREAT loan officers out there.  Loan officers that are interested in YOUR involvement in the loan process and providing exceptional service with great rates.  Please do yourself a favor and don’t settle for anything less!!
