Recently, I posted about not believing everything you read on the internet. Realistically, there is a lot of misinformation out there. Now, I have to include not believing everything you are told. I got a call from a potential client yesterday and he repeated something he was told about Taylor, Bean and Whitaker (TBW). His loan officer said that the last lender that would make FHA 203k Streamline loans had gone out of business that day.
Now, while it is true that TBW, apparently, has gone to that big mortgage company website in the sky, they were not, and are not, the only lender in American that would make FHA 203k Streamline loans. Although I worked with TBW on FHA 203k Streamline and FHA manufactured home loans, there are not my only source for funding either these loans.
Lending is a fluid business, so you have to be ready for the changes in the lending environment. Anyone that only has one source for their loans is asking for difficulty. As a mortgage bank, we are able to offer most products from our own sources while being able to broker some other products, like the 203k Streamline and Manufactured Home Loans.
If you need assistance with an FHA 203k Streamline and are in Oregon, I would be happy to help you. If you are buying a manufactured home on its own land and it meets HUD requirements, let me help you with that. Call me today at 541-342-7576/541-221-3455 Cell or e-mail me.
