It won’t last long at all.  Figure the average home purchase price will be around $275,000.  The CHF ACCESS second mortgage is for 3% of the purchase price.  3% x $275,000 = $8,250.  Divide $8,250 by $5,000,000 and that comes to only 606 home purchases….that is for ALL of California.
