My name is Hans Bruhner and I manage a branch of First Priority Financial in the north bay. We are licensed in all of California but we concentrate on Sonoma , Marin, Napa, Lake and Mendocino counties, YES in that order. I don’t know what I meant by that except that we all live in Sonoma county……….

I have been in the real estate business since 1989 when I started as a property manager in Sacramento. I moved into the mortgage side of the business in 1992 and aside from a side trip into selling real estate for a year, the mortgage end of the business has been my focus.

Having started my career in Sacramento, I became familiar with all of the acronym loans…… FHA, VA, PERS, STRS, FNMA, FHLMC and it served me well as a base of knowledge to build my career on. When I started, we did not have FICO scores or stated income loans. We looked at tax returns and paystubs and actually qualified the borrowers on their own merits. Today, we rely heavily on FICO scores and stated income loans have gone the way of the dinosaur.

My experience and background gives me a unique advantage over my local competition. loan officers who have not been in the business longer than 5 years have not had to read a tax return or analyze complicated income situations. They have also not needed to use VA & FHA loans because they just did not fit our unique landscape. Experience and integrity count for a lot in today’s market and my advice does make a difference.
